Overview
One of the main functions of Strategy is to provide insights into any networks you have created. Of course, this means that you must have created a network first. So, if you need help creating a network, see Creating a Network.
Once you have created a network, you will need to know where to go in Strategy to look at the providers in your created network, how to manage your network (add/remove providers), and how to customize the metrics displayed for your providers (and more). Here is what you will find in this article:

Insights
You will find the most critical metrics for doing a quick evaluation of your DCE on the Home page.
Use the Network selector to choose which of your saved networks you want to view on the Home page.
In addition, you can change the year from which the visible Insight tiles will be calculated by using the selection dropdown.
Network List
On the My Networks page, under the Manage Networks tab, the table will include a list of all networks that you have created.
Two quick details:
- In addition to any networks you have created, you will also see any networks shared to you by other users
- Clicking on the network name will open the Edit Network tool. In step 1, you can share your network with your colleagues.
View All Providers - Option 1
My Networks
You can view the providers in your network by clicking on the My Networks button in the left navigation.
Use the dropdown selector to choose which of your saved networks you want to view in the table.
With the "Filter by" dropdown selector, you can filter the contents listed in the table to a specific provider type.
The advantage of this view is that you can list all providers in your network in one place. The limitation for this view is that you are not able to add additional metrics to the table.
This table provides a quick "at a glance" view of the providers included in a selected network. You can easily export the complete list of providers to an Excel spreadsheet.
In general, we encourage users to view their list of network providers on the Explore page - which is Option 2, below.
View All Providers - Option 2
The Explore page is a powerful tool for browsing all providers by provider type; filtering the entries in the table to narrow or broad parameters, sorting, and exporting. One filter option is to limit the entries in the table to those providers included in a network you created.
Click on Explore in the left navigation.
The tabs at the top allow you to select a single provider type at a time. The entries in the table will be limited to the provider type you choose.
Click on the filter "User Network" to choose your network. This will limit the providers in the table to those that are in your chosen network.
The main strength of viewing your network on the Explore page is that you can add additional metrics to the table to help evaluation and comparison of the providers in the table.
Add/Edit Providers
Adding Providers
The easiest way to add providers to a network is from the Explore page.
Click on the boxes to the left of the provider's name to select the providers you want to add to your network.
Click the plus button. This will open the "Add to Network" dialog box.
In the "Add to Network" dialog box, choose the network you want to add the providers to and then click "Add."
Your selected providers will be included in the chosen network.
This process is the same for all provider types. Under the "physicians" tab, you can also add physicians by using "Model Network."
Under the Physician's tab, you will see "Model Network." Click the button.
Make sure to select the network to which you want to add physicians.
Select the physicians in the main table
Click the Save button.
This will add the checked physicians to the listed network.
Removing Providers
You can remove providers from a network on the My Networks page.
On the My Networks page, click on the Manage Networks tab. Then click on the network name of the network from which you want to remove providers.
This will open the "Add Providers" dialog box.
You will need to click "Next" twice to get to the list of providers.
Search or browse the list to find the provider you want to remove and click the trash can icon to the right to remove the provider from your chosen network.
View a Provider - Explore page
On the Explore page, you can search for any provider under the correct tab in the top navigation. The image below shows a search by the physician's name. If you know the NPI of the provider, that is another way to find a specific provider.
By clicking on Add Metrics you can add numerous columns of metrics for any provider that will aid in your evaluation of your chosen providers.
View a Provider - Analyze page
By clicking on the provider's name on any page, Strategy will navigate to the Analyze page for that provider. The Analyze page contains a flood of details about the selected provider under different tabs. (See image below)
